“The Youth in our community are an incredibly talented and diverse group. It is a real blessing to serve these amazing young people and see them all grow in their faith and have fun together,

What to expect in Youthzone
-
Before the YouthZone session starts each Saturday - our youth join the adults in musical worship upstairs in the main room.
Over the years; we have seen, and continue to see - Youth serving in this area too with young people operating the laptop, engaging in worship (and often first in the room) even playing instruments and singing in the service itself. It’s important to us that the youth feel part of the church community and are welcome and valued at CVM.

etc…
All social events are risk-assessed and we ensure that an adequate number of DBS checked and safeguarding trained leaders are present.

This is a bit of a YouthZone favourite.
Whenever the main room upstairs is available we turn the space into a Nerf gun warzone and enjoy firing darts at one another through structured game sessions.
Safety glasses, guns, darts and of course pews are provided!

Everything we plan for YouthZone is built on a foundation of fun and safety.
All of our YouthZone leadership team have been DBS checked, have completed basic Safeguarding training as well as bespoke safeguarding training specific to our community and building.
Risk assessments are undertaken for all YouthZone socials and we ensure that we have a ratio of leaders to youth that goes above the suggested guidelines for Youth events.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Joe our YouthZone Coordinator who is also the safeguarding lead or to Ross and Julie our Senior Pastors.
